JANUARY THE 9th 2020

The jury of the second European Union Conducting Competition, composed of M° Guenter Neuhold (President of the jury), M° Rengim Gokmen, M° Gyorgy Lendvai, M° Benjamin Levy, M° Grigor Palikarov decided who will be the four finalists.

They are:
Almanzar Sebastian from Colombia;
Jung Hyeju from South Korea;
Poças Gomes José Eduardo from Portugal;
Zlatkov Svetlomir from Bulgaria;

To each of them has been assigned one of the following groups, they will have 75 minutes to rehearse. The Final is open to the public who will be admitted during the breaks.

The final will take place in M. Atanasov concert hall in Pazardjik (same location of the Semifinal and II Round).

Group A from 10:00 until 11:15, assigned to Ms. Jung Hyeju from South Korea;
Ludwig van Beethoven: I Symphony 1st movement
Fryderyk Chopin: II Piano Concerto in f minor Op. 21, 3rd movement (Allegro vivace)

Group B from 11:45 until 13:00, assigned to Mr. Zlatkov Svetlomir from Bulgaria;
Ludwig van Beethoven: II Symphony 1st movement
Robert Schumann: Piano concerto in A minor Op. 54, 3rd movement (Allegro vivace)

Group C from 14:00 until 15:15, assigned to Mr. Almanzar Sebastian from Colombia;
Ludwig van Beethoven: IV Symphony 1st movement
Johannes Brahms: II Piano Concerto in B flat Op. 83, 4th movement (Allegretto grazioso)

Group D from 15:45 until 17:00, assigned to Mr. Almanzar Sebastian from Colombia;
Ludwig van Beethoven: VII Symphony 1st movement
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto in Bb Op. 23, 2nd movement (Andantino semplice – Prestissimo)

The final concert will be on Saturday Janaury the 11th at 18:00 at State Music Academy “Prof. Pantcho Vladigerov”, бул. Евлоги Георгиев 94, 1505 Oborishte, Sofia.

We are pleased to publish the names of the candidates admitted to the I Round of European Union Conducting Competition

There were more than 300 applicants from 57 different countries: European Union and Countries within the geographical borders of Central, Northern and Eastern Europe; from Central and Eastern Asia; from the Russian Federation; from America (both Northern, Central and Southern countries); from the Middle East, Oceania and Africa as well.

Due to the huge number of candidates and the high level of the participants the decision has been longer than expected and the jury has decided to admit 120 participants to the live audition.

All the candidates have already been informed about their exact schedule.
